Jude is an internationally respected speaker on financial services, who has also been featured in international media on a number of occasions. He has extensive experience within the Cayman Islands financial services industry, having participated on various public and private sector committees. He has served as Cayman Finance CEO since 2014.
Heather Smith was appointed as Head of the Investments and Securities Division of the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority on 1 June 2014, prior to which she served as the division’s Deputy Head from 2006 to 2014. On 1 March 2017, the Authority established a dedicated division for the supervision of securities investment business, the Securities Supervision Division, which separates out the supervision of such activity from the Investments and Securities Division, now renamed as the Investments Supervision Division. Ms. Smith now serves as Head of the Investments Supervision Division.
Mr. Andrew Graham was promoted to Deputy Head of the Investments Supervision Division on 15 May 2019, having served as the division’s Chief Analyst since July 2015.
Benjamin is responsible for Maitland’s Latin American (LatAm) offering – bringing his expertise in the investment fund universe with a specific focus on Brazilian solutions combined with a deep knowledge of delivery through various jurisdictions including Bahamas, BVI, Cayman and Luxembourg. Today, Benjamin and his team manage a client base of 40+ relationships, 60 funds and over $4.5bn in AUM. In 2019, Benjamin was appointed Chair of Cayman Finance’s Latin America Working Group and is also on the AIMA Cayman board.
Chris Duggan is Vice President of Business Development at Dart, responsible for the strategic oversight and implementation of the Dart group’s overall Business Development strategy. Chris was previously Vice President of Community Development and also Vice President of Investment Operations at Dart and has been employed in the Cayman Islands Financial Services Industry for the last 17 years, most recently as Head of Private Banking for Butterfield Bank, where he worked for over 10 years prior to joining Dart.
Sue Is VP of Marketing and Sales at Dart Real Estate, a portfolio that includes international business development, marketing visitation and commercial real estate in the New Urbanism community of Camana Bay, Provenance Properties – the official Christie’s International Real Estate affiliate in the Cayman Islands – and luxury residential projects developed by Dart including The Residences at Seafire and OLEA.. She has worked in marketing and development in the recreational property industry for over 20 years. Her experience includes working with independent hotels and resorts, shared ownership properties, mixed use communities and condotels. She is highly experienced in working with developers from concept development and market assessment through to market implementation and operation.
Giorgio advises on the establishment of offshore hedge funds and private equity funds for investment managers and financial institutions.
Tim is a senior member of Ogier’s Latin American practice team with a particular focus on the Brazilian market, advising a broad range of clients in relation to both inward and outward investments. He has extensive experience working with sponsors, asset managers, family offices and their onshore counsel advising on the establishment, regulation, corporate governance and ongoing operation of investment funds.

Luke is a Partner in KPMG in the Cayman Islands Audit Practice and is also the Head of People. Luke has 14 years of experience working for KPMG in the UK and in the Cayman Islands. He currently serves as the lead Partner for large investment fund complexes, structured vehicles and professional services firms. Luke is the lead Partner for KPMG in the Cayman Islands in the Brazilian market and has worked in the region for over 5 years.
Carlos Augusto Salamonde is the Head of Investment Services & Operations since July 27th, 2018. Carlos has 25 years of experience in the financial market, in the businesses of Asset Management and Securities Services, and returns to Itaú Unibanco after assignments in other institutions. During the previous 5 years, Carlos has been the CEO of BNY Mellon Asset Servicing, having under his responsibilities the Securities Services business for Latin America and Caribbean markets. Before that, he has been the CEO of JP Morgan Brazil Asset Management for 3 years. Along his career, Carlos has contributed a lot in several forums at Brazilian Markets Association (ANBIMA) for the development of the Brazilian Securities Services environment, and currently is the president of Qualified Services Committee at ANBIMA. He is graduated in Economy at Pontifícia Universidade Católica (Rio de Janeiro) and has a MBA degree from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (Rio de Janeiro).

Before joining Wright Capital, of which she is now a partner, she worked at Geekie, a social impact start-up focused on education. She is a lawyer, having graduated from Fundação Getulio Vargas in São Paulo, and has completed extension courses in Private International Law from The Hague Academy of International Law and in French and European Culture, Lettres et Civilisations from the University of Paris-Sorbonne. She is a Board member at Dos Anjos. She is the author of the article “Shareholder Agreements in Publicly Traded Companies: A comparison between U.S. and Brazil” (Brazilian Journal of International Law 2015) and is the founder of CEJUR, a junior enterprise from the law course at FGV Law SP. She also volunteered for different philanthropic projects and NGOs, is pro bono lawyer at the Grupo Juridico das Empresas B in Brazil, member of the Instituto Formação de Líderes (IFL-SP) and member of Base Colaborativa. She has the CFP certification.

With more than 20 years financial services experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his clients and the industry.
Dan L. Peterson is a Business Manager with CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank. He oversees their advisory practice for financial intermediaries located in the Cayman Islands, Bermuda and the Anglo Caribbean. Prior to CIBC First Caribbean, Dan was a Director and Caribbean Team Head with Deutsche Bank (Cayman) Limited. In his role, he was responsible for key client relationships with Fund Administrators, Pension Plans, Family Offices and Foundations located throughout the Americas and the Caribbean.
