Kareen Stangherlin

Kareen Stangherlin, CPA, CA, CFA, CFP, ICD.D is the CEO of Zelos Capital Ltd., a boutique private wealth and corporate advisory firm based in Calgary, Alberta. Kareen also serves on a number of boards, including the $18B Alberta Teachers Retirement Fund, where is an active Board Member, the Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee, a member of the Investment Committee and a member of the Human Resources & Compensation Committee. She also serves as a Board Member, Chair of the Audit Committee and member of the Compensation & Governance committee for Westleaf Inc., a venture listed Canadian company. In addition, Kareen is a member of the Advocacy Council of the CFA Societies Canada.  Prior to co-founding Zelos Capital in 2016, Kareen previously held executive positions in two private equity firms and also worked with KPMG in Canada and the Cayman Islands. Kareen is a Chartered Professional Accountant, a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Certified Financial Planner, with an Accounting degree from the Haskayne School of Business and an ICD. D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
