Markus Wirtz

Markus Wirtz is a Managing Director and heads Truist Securities Corporate & Investment Banking advisory practice for Asset Managers.

Markus has more than 15 years of banking experience and has worked on a number of M&A and capital markets transactions for clients in the US, Europe and Latin America with a particular focus on private market focused asset managers across private credit, real estate and infrastructure.

He joined Truist from BofA Securities where he spent 7 years working in in New York and London. Before BofA he worked for UBS in Zurich and Deutsche Bank in London.

Markus studied in Europe where he received a Master of Science/ equivalent from ESCP Business School (Paris), City University London and Universidad Carlos III (Madrid). He lives in Westchester, NY with his wife and daughters and is fluent in English, German, Spanish and French.
